Why Digibrain

You might think we’re just another impersonal digital marketing agency that provides services to businesses. That’s understandable, considering there are thousands in the global market and hundreds in the Greek market.

Digital marketing is not a magic path to success. It takes time, investment, collaboration, and dedication. We’re here to partner with you and help you create a strategy to achieve your goals, big or small.

Let me introduce myself in the most direct way possible. Hi, I’m Maria from the beautiful city of Drama, and I’m going to tell you the story of both me and DigiBrain.

I studied journalism but changed my career path

I always had a passion for journalism. Ever since high school, I said I would become a journalist. I fought for it until the beginning of 2023. Street reporting, live links, and research were what I loved and I said “great, I’ll make a career out of it.” But things are not so rosy in an industry that has been in transition for over 15 years. However, I decided to try something else since my parents encouraged me, so in 2020 I started my master’s degree in Social Media & Digital Marketing. At the same time, I worked as an Account Specialist in medical marketing (parallel work with journalism).

The hours were endless and I missed out on a lot

There were days when with a master’s degree and two 13-hour jobs I couldn’t take it anymore. I wanted to quit because my mental health wouldn’t allow me to do much. In February 2023 I stopped working as a journalist (part-time) and continued as a Digital Marketer (full-time). It was the best choice I could have made, as I combined writing with content creation and my mental health improved.

In addition to my salaried job, I also worked as a freelancer

I started with one client and yes, it didn’t go well at all. In order not to make the same mistakes, I took several digital marketing and HR seminars to improve my communication with people. In the end, it went well and I have been working with clients for many years now.

I lost my full-time job due to Flyover and more

The parallel projects on the Regional and National Road for those who live and work on the outskirts of the city, were, are and will be a torment. If I live in Panorama and work in Diavata, how will I get there? We had reached the point where we were in the car for three hours in a row trying to go to work. As much as I liked my job, I couldn’t continue this situation. And since I couldn’t work remotely and only on-site, I said “this is not possible, I don’t have the energy to go to the gym and go out with my friends, what am I going to do?”.

I looked for a job, but I found all the doors to be closed

I had several interviews and when I told them the salary I wanted, always above the minimum wage but within reason, they would tell me “good resume and you have worked a lot”, “we cannot accept the hybrid model, you must be on-site”, “we will not tell you now what we offer, we will send you an email at some point”, “I will advertise again because I want to see other candidates”, “you are expensive, I can give you the minimum wage”, “are you married? Are you going to have a child soon?” and so many others that “wore me out”.

The hesitation to create my “baby”

Despite my years of experience, I was hesitant to start my own thing. “Great, I’ll invest all my savings for a website, staff and I’ll have almost nothing left. What if it fails?”. That’s what I kept thinking, influenced by the events in our country and advice from my social circle. After I deliberated about what situation I was in, I decided to take the plunge! I created Digibrain and I’m proud about it!

Today | DigiBrain – Full Remote Digital Agency

Since everything is digital these days and we can communicate through dozens of channels to satisfy the customer, what is the benefit of having the physical presence of the employees in a business? Of course, we must meet in person sometimes for some reason, but why not work from the comfort of our home? With the right equipment and the right communication, anything is possible. And since I’ve been through the hassle of projects from the start, why should I make my colleagues go through the same thing?
